The End of Painting presents a group of 12 web-resolution images from major museums possessing a signature square Ad Reinhardt Black Painting. Reinhardt knew and celebrated the resistance of his work to being photographed; these works present the attempts of museum collections to make public these works online in the early stages of widespread digitization.
