On Paper, 2015-20
On Paper is a collection of images sourced from search engines and picture libraries offering images of ‘blank paper’. The images are all digitally rendered approximations of the materiality of paper - an object that hovers conceptually and materially on the threshold between the physical and the virtual. The work is completed in two forms: as a loose-leaf folio of each of the collected images, and as a series of wall-based print works, where an image from the collection has been printed at specialist printers on each of the available paper stocks.
