Porcelain cast of a photographic cable release

Snap continues an investigation of the violence of photographic language, and a fascination with the romanticised photographic moment of pressing the shutter. A cable release for a camera was cast - requiring exhaustive work by a skilled ceramicist, involving many failed attempts), was exhibited once in its intact form. The work anticipated its own inevitable destruction, and correspondingly, the work was accidentally broken into several pieces before it could be displayed again.
